With collaborations like that of Ducati, and of course an outstanding merchandise line-up of really interesting, thought-provoking and innovative watches, Tudor watch are now a force to be reckoned with. They appeal to a slightly younger audience than simply throw as a result of their lower cost points, but just as they’ve always done, they don’t skimp on quality. They’re also a stickler for the details, and each Tudor timepiece boasts its very own little distinctive nuances such as the vintage-style cream luminescent paint onto the Heritage Black Bay, or the glowing red seconds hand on the Ranger. This implies they appeal to hardcore collectors too, so their audience is as far-reaching as any.
This brings us straight back to Tudor’s fresh opinion, the Fastrider Chrono. It is offered in three color ways, vivid yellow — matching the original colour of the 1980s Ducati Scrambler, olive green and Ducati crimson, found on bicycles which range from the iconic 916 into the new Panigale versions. It’s a chronograph watches comprising three old school contrasting sub-dials which are both pleasing to the eye and practical, given that they are really easy to read.
Much like Ducati, Tudor have selected to innovate with their substance use on the Fastrider Chrono. The case itself is constructed from a matt-finished stainless steel but the bezel, pushers and crown are made from black PVD-coated ceramic, a superbly time-consuming substance to work with.
Component of Tudor’s partnership with Ducati extends into the race circuit, as Ducati Corse compete in Moto GP, the most aggressive motorcycle series on earth.
